CDA was created in 1991 and has two key objectives. To challenge a stagnated industry and deliver better kitchen products and appliances to consumers. It is now one of the leading kitchen appliance manufacturers in the country and is the fastest growing white goods brand in the UK.
We have been working with CDA for a couple of years now and have produced many separate images for all parts of the company in that time.
We produced an image for the front cover of the 2014 product range brochure and showed a cooker and hob with an extractor hood. Both lighting and detail on the image had to be truly photorealistic and the end result was indistinguishable from a photograph. We have also produced a series of images for a new selection of range cookers that CDA have released. One of the stipulations within the brief was to show the ovens with the doors open and all of the compartments full of trays containing the elements of a large roast dinner. We initially tried to gain approval by showing the ovens with CG food. The result was not satisfactory however so we were forced to purchase and cook the full roast dinner ourselves then photograph the trays within the studio and composite the resulting photographs into the final images. Although laborious for us and time consuming the resulting images were much more realistic and the client was very happy with the result.
Over the time we have been working with CDA we have modelled, textured and rendered over 20 separate kitchen appliances, have produced a modern kitchen set which we have used for a selection of cameo images showing different appliances and have even created a 3D version of their logo in stainless steel for marketing purposes.
